  Cricket Assoiciation of Nepal (CAN ) launches first-ever Core Camp with 52 players In a groundbreaking initiative to strengthen its national cricket setup, the Cricket Association of Nepal (CAN) has launched a high-intensity Core Camp. An intensive selection and development program featuring 52 players, blending seasoned performers with exciting young talents, including emerging stars from the recently concluded PM Cup, and a few standout U19 prospects added to the initial group of 48. The camp follows a double round-robin format, with matches scheduled between April 26 and May 3 at both Upper and Lower Mulpani cricket grounds. Each team will face the others twice, offering ample opportunity for players to impress selectors and refine their game in a competitive setting. CAN unveils cricketing calendar 2025

As per the calendar, Nepali men’s senior team will be busy abroad while the women’s team will also be equally busy throughout the year. “This year will be a busy one for the women’s team,” CAN Secretary Paras Khadka said. “As we have been saying, we are doing our best to develop women’s cricket further.” The calendar shows that the women’s senior team, which is currently in Uganda for a quadrangular series including Namibia and Hong Kong, will tour Bhutan in April. They will then travel to Thailand for the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup Asia Qualifiers in May and Women’s Emerging Team Asia Cup in June. Malaysia has also confirmed a tri-series with Nepal and the United Arab Emirates (UAE) in October while CAN will host a pentangular series in December inviting Uganda, Namibia, UAE and Netherlands. Extratech Oval Cricket Stadium to host Prime Minister's Cup Men's National Cricket

Extratech Oval International Cricket Stadium is the only private sector sports stadium in Nepal being under constructed by Mr. Binod Kunwar , the Owner and Director of Extratech Oval International Cricket Stadium. Its is located at Tilottama ,Lumbini , Nepal. It is supposed to facilitate 25000 spcectators. The ground of the stadium was completed in just nine month. The construction works is going rapidly beyond imagination. The latest work progress that is going on in Extratech Oval International Cricket Stadium is it is installing floodlights in the ground. As of todays date 2 floodlight among 5 has been installed and rest 3 will be installed with a week and the trial of the floodlights with be done after the completion of installation. I CC HAS NOMINATED our Captain PUJA MAHATO including 12 Players from the ICC U19 T20 World Cup nation for the ICC U19 Women’s T20 World Cup 2025 Team of the Tournament. Puja Mahato, born 17 February 2006 is a Nepalese cricketer who plays for the Nepal women's national cricket team. She made her Twenty20 International (T20I) debut against Hong Kong women's in the Women's T20 Quadrangular Series 2023. In June 2024, she was named in national squad for the 2024 Women's Twenty20 Asia Cup. In November 2024, she was appointed as captain of under-19 team for the 2025 ICC Under-19 Women's T20 World Cup qualification. On 12 November, she scored a unbeaten century (130) and took a five-wicket haul (5/8) to defeat Kuwait under-19 women's cricket team by 165 runs.
